Mrs. B is one of our MI Choice Medicaid Waiver Program participants. She is in hospice care with end-stage dementia. Her son is very involved in her care and was excited to hear that The Senior Alliance was able to provide her with a robotic companion pet, the Golden Pup, as well as a music player for her beloved big band music. She has fallen in love with the pup! She enjoys petting, talking to, and kissing her new pet. When the staff comes to care for her needs, they often turn on the music box and notice that she moves along to the music or tries to sing along.
These items have greatly contributed to her quality of life and are helping to create wonderful memories for her son.
