Advocate for Older Adults
Per the mandate outlined in Section 306(a)(6)(B) of the Older Americans Act, Area Agencies on Aging such as The Senior Alliance must be dedicated advocates for older adults within their service area. At The Senior Alliance, this involves vigilant monitoring, comprehensive evaluation, and insightful commentary on policies, programs, hearings, levies, and community actions that impact for the well-being of older adults.
Below is a list of current policy issues The Senior Alliance supports. To learn more about the issue, click “Learn More” in the box’s bottom right corner. Those interested in informing their elected official(s) of their support for the policies below can easily do so by clicking on the “Take Action” button to complete the form. Once the form is filled out, you will have the option to email the letter to your legislator(s) by clicking “Send” or you can print and mail the letter to them by clicking “Print and Mail”.
