Nutrition Support When Solid Food Isn’t an Option
Liquid Meals provides nutrition support for adults age 60 and older who are unable to eat solid food because of a debilitating disease or condition. Eligible participants receive Ensure Plus, picked up monthly at designated sites.
How It Works in Our Service Area
The Senior Alliance oversees assessment and enrollment for Liquid Meals. Wayne County Senior Services provides the liquid meals and manages monthly pick-up at designated sites.
To enroll, fill out the form below. For pick-up locations, schedules, and other program questions, contact Wayne County Senior Services.
Eligible participants can receive up to two cases of Ensure Plus. The suggested donation is $15 per case of 24 cans.
Who Is Eligible?
Liquid Meals is available to individuals who are:
- Age 60 or older
- Unable to eat solid food because of a debilitating disease or condition
- Living in The Senior Alliance’s service area
If you live outside The Senior Alliance’s service area, contact your local Area Agency on Aging for nutrition programs near you.
Individuals who receive liquid meals are not eligible for Meals on Wheels or Congregate Meals.

Who can receive Liquid Meals?
Adults age 60 and older who live in The Senior Alliance’s service area and are unable to eat solid food because of a debilitating disease or condition.
Can I receive Liquid Meals and Meals on Wheels?
No. Participants can receive either a hot meal or a liquid meal, but not both. If you’re interested in hot meals delivered to your home, learn more about Meals on Wheels.
