Constructing Independence with MI Choice Waiver
Mrs. L is a participant in The Senior Alliance MI Choice Medicaid Waiver Program. She was unable to safely leave her home because the home lacked a wheelchair ramp. Mrs. L’s Supports Coordinator worked with her to coordinate the construction of a new wheelchair ramp. With the new ramp, she can now get out of her home to go shopping, go to craft fairs, and sit on her porch in the sunshine.
The ability to get out of her home without a struggle has changed her entire outlook on life.
