It’s a Good Day at TSA: April

Celebrating Arab American Heritage Month With Resources Designed For You

April is Arab American Heritage Month. It’s a time dedicated to celebrating the culture, accomplishments, and history of Arab Americans. At The Senior Alliance, we honor the incredible Arab Americans, past and present, who make a difference in our country today and every day.

Embracing that spirit, The Senior Alliance provides resources and access to programs that benefit Arab American older adults, adults with disabilities, and caregivers. The Arab American Caregiver Guide is an invaluable asset to help with everything from cultural values and challenges to self-care and finding a support system you can lean on.

Along with our caregiver guide, Arab Community Center for Economic and Social Services (ACCESS) EXHALE, in partnership with The Senior Alliance, offers support to caregivers caring for loved ones aged 60 and older.

Medicare Fraud Prevention Tip: Avoid Saying "Yes" to Unsolicited Calls

“Can you hear me?” Do NOT say, “Yes.” Scammers call and ask questions to record your “yes,” then use it as proof that you agreed to a product or service. Instead, try phrases like:

  • “I can”
  • “I do”
  • “I hear you”

If a call feels suspicious, hang up. Legitimate businesses and Medicare will contact you by mail or leave a voicemail.

Report suspected Medicare fraud to your local Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP)They can help you protect your information and stop scammers in their tracks.

Kristin is recognized by colleagues across the organization for her leadership, compassion, and ability to guide her team through growth and change.

Here’s what our team has to say:

“I’m nominating Kristin for Manager of the Quarter in recognition of her exceptional leadership and dedication to quality. She stepped into her role with MI Options without hesitation and has been a driving force behind the program’s early success. Kristin leads with intention, always keeping both her team and the clients we serve at the center of her work. She creates space for open dialogue, ensures her team feels supported, and brings a positive, fun energy to even the most challenging days.” – Amanda Sears

“Kristin is the best manager I have ever had. She is compassionate, supportive, and always advocates for her team. She meets people where they are and helps us grow in confidence and skill. Without her leadership, this program would not be where it is today.” – Jamie Rosati

“Kristin has a remarkable ability to make people feel at ease. She is approachable, genuinely invested in her team, and always open to new ideas. She creates an environment where people feel valued, supported, and motivated to do their best work.” – Michelle Morales

From all of us at The Senior Alliance, thank you, Kristin, for your leadership and the positive impact you make every day.
