From Frustration to Savings

A local resident, Mr. W, called The Senior Alliance Medicare Counseling Team on behalf of his wife. He was very frustrated and confused and was looking for an understanding of his wife’s coverage and the programs that were available to her. Our Medicare Counselor did a review of her current coverage through creating a Medicare.gov account with their consent.

Our counselor explained the coverage she currently has: Original Medicare Parts A, B, & Part D drug plan through Cigna. They further discussed with Mr. W and his wife the New to Medicare options and the enrollment periods for her to enroll into a Medicare Advantage plan in the future, should that be desired. Our counselor reviewed the clients current income and assets and was able to assist the client with an Extra Help Application and a Medicare Savings Application.
