As we reflect on the impact of 2025, we’re proud of the progress made and the people who made it possible. This year marked meaningful growth across programs that help older adults, adults living with disabilities, and caregivers live with dignity and choice.
Here’s what you’ll find in The Senior Alliance’s 2025 Year in Review:
Another incredible year is in the books at The Senior Alliance.
We thrived in our mission of helping older adults and adults with disabilities live independently through comprehensive support, services, and resources. We couldn’t do it without our collaborative partners, tireless volunteers, and helpful community. Your generosity transforms our work.
We are pleased to report a year of significant progress and public service.
The Senior Alliance is proud to have been selected as a participant in the new statewide MI Options Program, where our trained and certified counselors provide expert Medicare Counseling and Person-Centered Options Counseling.
With the MI Choice home- and community-based program, older adults and adults living with disabilities have access to in-home services. This long-term support is designed to help individuals stay in a home or residential setting.
At The Senior Alliance, we provide Care Management and Case Coordination & Support programs for eligible older adults in need through the Older Americans Act. These programs help individuals remain in their own home, a family member’s home, or an assisted living community.
We are committed to bridging the gap for food-insecure older adults through a comprehensive network of nutrition services, including home-delivered meals, congregate meals, and holiday meals.
The Senior Alliance Transportation Program
Our transportation program gives caregivers a break and provides travel for older adults in urgent situations to medical and social service appointments.
We are so grateful to our incredible volunteers, generous donors, and the collaborative outreach we’re able to make with the community. It’s what makes The Senior Alliance’s mission possible.
While The Senior Alliance helps with programs, meals, transportation, and more, we also help with services to better understand resources like assistance through calls and effective advocacy with elected officials.
As we look back on the last year, we are proud of the work we’ve accomplished and the impact we’ve made on aging adults and adults living with disabilities in southeastern Michigan, particularly in our service area of western Wayne County and Downriver.
We are excited for another year of continuing our work to ensure that all individuals have the opportunity to age with dignity, maintain their independence, and thrive where they live.
