Access Healthy Food

At The Senior Alliance, we seek to ensure that healthy food options are accessible to aging adults in the communities we serve. According to the Center for Disease Control, good nutrition is essential in maintaining good health and lowering the risk of serious health problems. However, fewer than one in 10 adults eat enough vegetables, and fewer than 1 in 7 adults eat the recommended amount of fruit.

Congregate Meals

Individuals aged 60 and older can get a hot lunch on weekdays at any of the 41 community lunch sites. Congregate meal nutrition sites are now open for lunch on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Please call the nutrition site to reserve a meal 24 hours in advance. The meals provide at least one-third of the Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA). Donations are encouraged, with a suggested donation of $3.00 per meal.
