Helping You Get There: Transportation at TSA

At The Senior Alliance, our mission is to assist people to thrive as they live, age, and grow. One way we do this is by offering reliable and specialized transportation services tailored to meet their unique needs. As a trusted organization committed to enhancing the quality of life for some of our community’s most vulnerable, we take pride in providing safe, convenient, and accessible transportation options to individuals aged 60 and over and adults with disabilities in our area.

We value inclusivity and believe that everyone should have the opportunity to remain active and engaged in their community, regardless of mobility limitations. Our team of professional drivers is highly trained and experienced in assisting aging adults with various mobility devices, including wheelchairs, walkers, and canes. With their compassionate approach and dedication, our drivers ensure that each individual receives the utmost care and attention during their journey.

Our comprehensive services go beyond basic transportation. We understand that older adults may require assistance for specific appointments and activities, and we take pride in offering additional support in various areas. This includes providing transportation to respite care centers, and ensuring aging adults can access much-needed temporary relief for their caregivers. We also recognize the importance of accessing non-emergency medical services. That’s why our transportation services extend to non-emergency medical appointments, to ensure that aging adults and adults with disabilities can receive the medical attention they need without the stress and hassle of finding suitable transportation.

The free transportation program at The Senior Alliance acts as a “ride of last resort.” When individuals have exhausted all other means of transportation, they can rely on us as a dependable backup. Through our compassionate drivers and comprehensive services, we strive to foster a sense of community and support for our older adults and adults with disabilities, allowing them to lead fulfilling and independent lives. Join us as we work together to ensure that no one is left without the essential transportation services they deserve.

Good Day for Transportation at TSA

At TSA, we highlight our good work with our employee shoutouts: “Good Day at TSA.” One incredible transportation worker is April. Her commitment to the team is unrivaled, effortlessly putting the “team” in team player. No task is too daunting for her; she tackles each one with unwavering dedication and a smile. Riders shower her with praise, as they call in weekly just to express their gratitude for April’s unparalleled kindness and compassion. One particular rider found solace in her presence during their journeys to and from dialysis, as April’s gift of gab swept away anxiety and made the rides truly enjoyable. Her supervisor says she couldn’t be luckier to have such an exceptional individual on her team, and April’s impact on the department is a testament to the power of genuine care and teamwork.

In another example of our transportation department, a day full of rides faced an unexpected hurdle when a van developed a flat tire. Concerned that appointments would be missed, our drivers rallied together. One of our proactive drivers swiftly secured approval to use their Prius as a stand-in. The team worked in perfect harmony, ensuring everyone reached their destinations, including a long-awaited specialist appointment for one participant.

Through their collective efforts, they exemplify the true essence of teamwork, going the extra mile to prioritize safety and punctuality.

Keep Us Moving Forward

Our drivers are foundational to the success of our transportation program. However, we also need your support to continue to offer critical programs and services like transportation to aging adults and adults with disabilities in our community.

Because of your generous donations, we can offer rides to our participants for free. Would you consider donating so we can continue providing this and other essential resources in our service area? Donate to support The Senior Alliance.
