In the latest episode of Inside the Senior Alliance, our host and Planning and Advocacy Specialist, Emma Case, talks with Matt Phelan, Public Policy and Advocacy Manager at the Alzheimer’s Association of Michigan.

Emma and Matt discuss a plethora of topics regarding Alzheimer’s and dementia, including:

• The newest treatments
• What the Alzheimer’s Association of Michigan does
• The difference between Alzheimer’s and Dementia
• The status of getting Alzheimer’s and Dementia treatments approved through Medicare and Medicaid

They also discuss new treatments for Alzheimer’s and Dementia and how listeners can get involved in advocacy for those living with Alzheimer’s and Dementia.

We are pleased to announce that Judy Downer passed her AIRS Certification exam for Aging/Disabilities. This certification is designed for individuals who work directly with clients and caregivers within the aging and/or disabilities area and have a special depth of knowledge related to this core client group. We are so proud of Judy and so thankful she is a part of our team!

Join The Senior Alliance at Western Golf Course and Country Club for our charity champs golf outing!

The outing will begin September 25, 2023, at 9 a.m. with a shotgun start.
