Long-Term Care Planning

Each year, Medicare fall open enrollment begins on October 15 and ends on December 7. During this period, those age 65 and older or disabled who have enrolled in a Medicare plan can join, switch, or drop a plan. Coverage will then begin in January, assuming a plan request is made before the end of the open enrollment period. For many, navigating the ins and outs of Medicare can be confusing and frustrating. The Senior Alliance is here to help. When it comes to Medicare, the Michigan Medicare/Medicaid Assistance Program (MMAP) is available to help take the confusion out of your Medicare options—and The Senior Alliance can help you get connected.

For more information about the Michigan Medicare/Medicaid Assistance Program (MMAP), read the latest on our blog.

Donate to Give Hunger a Holiday:

Donate Today

In Michigan, 1 in 7 older adults struggles with food insecurity. During the holidays, your generous donations enable The Senior Alliance to continue to meet the needs of food-insecure aging adults and adults with disabilities in our community when traditional meal-delivery services are unavailable. Because of you, in 2021, on Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, over 2,800 older adults received a hot meal. One of those older adults told us, “We have been blessed by your generosity and kindness.”

This year, with your help, we hope to serve even more vulnerable members in our area. Your gift, whether $5 or $500, will help support the aging adults in our community – through this holiday season and beyond.

Happy Thanksgiving
