Dearborn Heights Mayor Dan Paletko, A dedicated public servant.

The Senior Alliance is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Dearborn Heights Mayor Dan Paletko yesterday from COVID-19. Dan was a strong supporter of the work we do on behalf of older adults. In 2009 Dan personally played a role in leading our agency into a new era when he stepped in as a member of the Board of Directors for a transitional period.

A dedicated public servant, his service as mayor, state representative, and city council member will be long remembered for the positive impacts he made. Dan took great pride in working on behalf of his city’s residents and always strove to make Dearborn Heights a better place. His leadership and partnership will be missed.
